What is the "My Favorite Nonprofit" feature?
From May 24 through July 4, we're asking "
My Favorite Nonprofit" eBay members can save as many of their favorite nonprofits as they want in the Donation Account section of My eBay. These nonprofits will show up on the checkout page when you complete an eBay purchase (
Give At Checkout) and in the "Choose how you'd like to sell your item" section of the
Sell Your Item Form. Select as many nonprofits as you want and we'll feature one of them each time you buy. Or let us suggest a nonprofit for you. There's no obligation to donate and no charge to you for this service.
Do I have to be an eBay member to use this feature?
Yes. Registering for eBay is easy and free.

How do I find a nonprofit to designate as a favorite?
You can search our directory of more than 18,000 nonprofit organizations that are registered with the eBay Giving Works program.

How can I use eBay to support my favorite nonprofits?
There are four ways to support your favorite nonprofits on eBay:
Can I save more than one favorite?
You can save as many nonprofits as you want in My eBay. If you save multiple nonprofits, they will appear in random order each time you complete an eBay purchase or create an eBay listing.
Can I delete a favorite?
On the confirmation page you can remove any or all of your selections and make another selection. You can return anytime to your Donation Account in My eBay and add or remove any nonprofit from the list.
Do I pay a fee to use this feature?
eBay members pay no fee to use this feature. It's part of the free My eBay service every eBay member receives.
Can I opt out of this feature?
There's no obligation to save a nonprofit in My eBay.
Will the nonprofits I save know that I designated them?
The nonprofits will know how many eBay members designated them, but not who the members are.
Who can I donate to?
You can make a cash donation to any of more than 18,000 nonprofits listed in the
eBay Giving Works nonprofit directory. If the nonprofit you'd like to support isn't listed, you can
invite the organization to join eBay Giving Works.
How does the nonprofit receive my cash donation?

What is Give At Checkout?
With one click, eBay buyers can donate $1, $2, $5, $10, or $25, to a nonprofit whenever they buy on eBay through the Give At Checkout feature. You can choose the nonprofits you want to support by saving them in the My Favorite Nonprofit section of your My eBay Donation Account. Otherwise eBay will suggest a nonprofit for you. The donation is automatically added to the total payment amount and forwarded to the nonprofit.
How much can I donate to my favorite nonprofit at eBay checkout?
You can donate from $1 to $25 to your favorite nonprofit each time you checkout on eBay and pay using PayPal.
Is there a fee to use Give At Checkout?
MissionFish, our partner nonprofit that processes eBay Giving Works donations, takes a small deduction (5%) from your total gift amount to help offset processing fees.
I didn't see my favorite nonprofit when I went to eBay checkout. What happened?
To use Give At Checkout, you need to use PayPal to pay for your eBay purchase.
Does the seller get part of my donation?
No. Your donation goes directly to your favorite nonprofit. A
small processing fee is deducted by eBay's partner MissionFish.
If I'm selling on eBay Giving Works to support a nonprofit, can I make sure that the same nonprofit appears in Give At Checkout?
Give At Checkout makes it easy for eBay buyers to donate to their favorite nonprofit whenever they buy on eBay and pay using PayPal. By buying your eBay Giving Works listing item and donating through Give At Checkout, eBay users actually help two worthy organizations raise funds to accomplish their goals!
Can I opt out of Give At Checkout?
To remove this option, or to restore it, you can visit your Donation Account in My eBay and change your preferences for Give At Checkout.
Will the organization I support through Give At Checkout know who I am?
Nonprofits you support through Give At Checkout don't receive any information about you.
How does the nonprofit receive my Give At Checkout donation?
MissionFish, the nonprofit organization selected by eBay to administer the eBay Giving Works program, takes a small deduction (5%) from your total gift amount to help offset costs.
Can I get a tax receipt for my cash donation?
Yes. To request a tax receipt for any or all of your donations, visit your Donation Account in My eBay, select Donation History, and make your request. The tax receipt will be emailed to your registered eBay email address.

Donate Now enables anyone with a PayPal account to make an online cash gift to their favorite nonprofit organization. You don't have to be buying or selling on eBay to use it - you don't even have to be an eBay member! You can donate from $1 to $10,000. eBay's nonprofit partner MissionFish will ensure that your gift is delivered safely and securely to the nonprofit organization you choose. And everything you give is tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
Do I have to be an eBay member to use Donate Now?
No. You do need a PayPal account, however.

How much can I donate to a nonprofit through Donate Now?
You can donate from $1 to $10,000 to any of the more than 18,000 nonprofits in our
directory through Donate Now using PayPal.
Who can I donate to?
You can make a cash donation to any of more than 18,000 nonprofits listed in the
eBay Giving Works nonprofit directory. If the nonprofit you'd like to support isn't listed, you can
invite the organization to join eBay Giving Works.
Will the organization I donate to know who I am?
Nonprofits you support through Donate Now always receive your full name. To share or hide your email and mailing addresses, visit your Donation Account in My eBay and change your Donation Account preferences.
Is there a fee to use Donate Now?
MissionFish, our partner nonprofit that processes eBay Giving Works donations, takes a small deduction (3.75%) from your total gift amount to help offset processing fees. To ensure that 100% of your gift reaches the benefiting nonprofit, you can add 3.75% to your donation amount. Because MissionFish itself is a nonprofit, this addition is also tax-deductible.
I'm a Community Seller. Can I pay my committed donations through Donate Now?
Donate Now is only for cash donations.

Can I pay for items purchased on eBay through Donate Now?
Donate Now is only for cash donations. To pay for items you purchased on eBay, use eBay Checkout. For eBay Giving Works Community sellers, your donation will be deducted automatically from your item's final sale price and sent to the nonprofit you're supporting.
