eBay Giving Works Seller Terms & Conditions
By listing an item with eBay Giving Works, you promise to donate the percentage of the item's final sale price that you designated (or the required minimum donation, whichever is larger), when that item sells. You promise to make this donation to MissionFish—the nonprofit chosen by eBay to administer the eBay Giving Works program—for the benefit of your intended Charitable Beneficiary.
If you have not made your donation by the fourth Monday after the listing ends, MissionFish will collect it automatically using your payment method on file with eBay. Donations that cannot be collected automatically will be considered overdue. You will be unable to create new eBay Giving Works listings until you have made all overdue donations. Failure to make an overdue donation may result in the suspension of your eBay account. Donations are collected in the local currency of the Charitable Beneficiary you select.
A Charitable Beneficiary always has the right to not be associated with a listing. If a Charitable Beneficiary that you select makes such a request, your listing will be cancelled without prejudice and the insertion fee credited back to your account.
MissionFish retains a small portion of each donation to offset some costs of their services, and will forward the net amount to the Charitable Beneficiary. They will hold your donation until at least 45 days after the end of the listing, enabling you to request a donation refund for unpaid items. If you waive your right to this refund, MissionFish will forward your donation in their next scheduled payment. As required by the Internal Revenue Service, MissionFish has exclusive legal control over each donation. Learn how donations that can't be delivered are treated.
If you represent a nonprofit and sell with eBay Giving Works to raise funds, our Nonprofit Direct Seller rules may apply. MissionFish does not collect funds or retain a portion of the donation from Nonprofit Direct Sellers, and no minimum donation applies. Our Nonprofit Direct Seller rules only apply when you:
- Are a rightful employee or agent of a participating Charitable Beneficiary, and your listing benefits that Charitable Beneficiary.
- Properly identify your eBay User ID to MissionFish before creating your listings.
